Woody Allen Objects!

We find this story particularly obnoxious as Mr Allen is worried about his "reputation" being endangered by Mia Farrow possibly testifying in court on his trade mark infringement suit.

He didn't seem to worry all that much about running off with Farrow's way too young adopted daughter... His reputation as far as we are concerned was shot many years ago. The old creepy child molester. Why he was allowed to get away with the "crimes" he did and then cry to the tune of 10 million bucks over use of his image. Who the heck would want his picture on anything?

NEW YORK (Reuters) – Lawyers for film director Woody Allen asked a court on Monday to prevent American Apparel from calling his wife Soon-Yi Previn and his ex-girlfriend Mia Farrow as witnesses in an upcoming trial.
Allen sued the U.S. clothing company for trademark infringement more than a year ago seeking more than $10 million after his image was used on billboards in New York and Los Angeles without his consent.

In court papers filed Monday, Allen's lawyers said a possible witness list provided by American Apparel Inc. included Allen, Farrow, Previn, his sister Letty Aronson and Hustler magazine founder Larry Flynt.
The motion filed in Manhattan federal court asks for a court order preventing American Apparel from calling witnesses and introducing evidence "concerning Mr. Allen's personal and family life."

The lawyers said any plan to put Farrow on the stand was "part of a brutish attempt to smear and intimidate Mr. Allen." We think Mr. Allen smeared his own reputation all on his own. He should have gone to jail for the crimes he commited against Farrow's young child. Anyone with less attorney money would have.

HOT GUITAR MOOD

I hear a blues riff in the still of the night.
Is that you little boy blues?
Your cross was found on some faraway hill,
They say where wild flowers grow.
Are you up there somewhere playing your blues?
Oh Lord I think I know . . .

--- Joe Boy Cook (Stevie Ray's uncle)

Stephen "Stevie" Ray Vaughan (October 3, 1954 – August 27, 1990) was an American
blues-rock guitarist, whose broad appeal made him an influential electric blues guitarist. In 2003, Rolling Stone magazine ranked Stevie Ray Vaughan #7 in its list of the 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time,[2] and Classic Rock Magazine ranked him #3 in their list of the 100 Wildest Guitar Heroes in 2007.

On August 25 and August 26, 1990, Vaughan and Double Trouble finished the summer portion of the In Step Tour with shows at Alpine Valley Music Theatre, just outside of East Troy, Wisconsin. The show also featured The Robert Cray Band (with the Memphis Horns, Wayne Jackson and Andrew Love) and Eric Clapton, who played the closing set, then brought all the musicians back onstage for an encore jam.

Double Trouble drummer Chris Layton later recalled his last conversation with Vaughan, and remembered Vaughan saying backstage that he had to call his girlfriend, Janna Lapidus, before heading out the door to board a helicopter for the flight back to Chicago, Illinois, where Lapidus was staying. (The helicopters had been booked by Double Trouble's tour manager Skip Rickert through Omni Flights.)

The musicians had expected a long bus ride back to Chicago. However, Vaughan was informed by a member of Clapton's crew that three seats were open on one of the helicopters returning to Chicago with Clapton's crew, enough for Vaughan, his brother Jimmie, and Jimmie's wife Connie. It turned out there was only one seat left;

Vaughan requested it from his brother, who obliged. At 12:44 a.m. pilot Jeffrey Browne guided the helicopter off the ground. Shortly after takeoff the helicopter crashed into a ski slope and all five on board were killed. Although the crash occurred only 0.6 miles from the takeoff point, it went unnoticed by those at the concert site.

The search for the wreckage began at 5:00 a.m., finally being located two hours later with the help of its locator beacon. The cause of the crash was believed to have been pilot error.

There will never be another like Stevie Ray so let's rock out tonight with one of our favorite videos of SRV:

Elizabeth Edwards: AFFAIR MADE HER THROW UP

The Fact that she stays with that Disloyal Lying Jerk make us THROWUP

NEW YORK – Elizabeth Edwards writes in a new memoir to be published in May that news of her husband's affair made her vomit in a bathroom.

"I cried and screamed, I went to the bathroom and threw up," Edwards, 59, writes in her book, "Resilience."

Edwards, who is terminally ill with cancer, said her husband, John, admitted to the betrayal just days after declaring his run for president in 2006. She said she wanted him to drop out of the race to protect the family from media scrutiny, but stood by his side anyway.

"He should not have run," she wrote.

An advance copy of the book was obtained by the New York Daily News, which reported on it Thursday.

John Edwards went public with the affair in August after the National Enquirer reported he was the father of videographer Rielle Hunter's daughter. He has denied paternity, but his wife of more than 30 years doesn't address the issue in her book.

Edwards writes that Hunter's pickup line was "you are so hot" and that when her husband first confessed, he lied and said he only had sex with Hunter once.

The original confession "left most of the truth out," she writes.

Elizabeth Edwards never identifies Hunter by name. But she says that while her life may be tragic, Hunter's is "pathetic."

John Edwards, a former North Carolina senator, was laying the groundwork for a presidential campaign when he hired Hunter to shoot videos of him. Edwards said the affair with Hunter began and ended that year, although Hunter was seen on the campaign trail until the final days of 2006.

David Drake, the publicity director at Broadway Books, said her book would serve as a sort of sequel to her previous memoir, "Saving Graces," that was first published in 2006 and updated in 2007.

Edwards' initial memoir mostly focused on how she coped with the 1996 death of the couple's son Wade in a car accident at age 16 and her ongoing battle with breast cancer.

Since the affair was announced, Edwards has continued to advocate for health care reform by visiting Congress and making policy speeches.

DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES WISTERIA LANE INTERACTIVE TOUR

ABC SENT THE SNARKIES THIS LOVELY TOUR GRAB A LATTE AND ENJOY IT HERE

Snarky Top Ten Desperate Housewives Characters

!. Bree Van De Camp-Hodge (Marcia Cross)
We love her the absolute most! She is the perfect snarky woman! Martha Stewart with a gun!
She is ethically challenged and totally narcissistic. Her resolve under any circumstance never waivers.
Her loyalty and sense of right and wrong are well defined. She is very talented and unpredictable. Kind of reminds us of Serial Mom We Adore Bree.

2. Carlos Solis (Ricardo Antonio Chavira)
Our favorite Desperate Housewives Husband. Carlos was hot, unpredictable, and a little scary in the beginning of this show. Now they have turned him into a simp. Made him blind, took away his money, and made him revoltingly weak! YUCK Please Mark Cherry bring the old Carlos back to Wisteria Lane!

3. Karl Mayer (Richard Burgi) OMG we love gorgeous Karl! He is the perfect ex-husband jerk with money! We just can't believe he'd have ever married stupid Susan in the first place!

4. Tom Scavo (Doug Savant) Tommy has become MORE interesting as time goes on. He's funny and cute. He lightens up the show and keeps the rest of the neighborhood from blowing out the scenery. The most "normal" character we need him to balance out the nut bars in the hood!

5. Orson Hodge (Kyle Mclachlan) Met Bree at a booby hatch. Good start! He is the perfect man for Bree. He is a bit on the OCD (obsessive Compulsive disorder) side but that what endears him to us. This season he is full of resentment and jealousy YAY

6. Mike Delfino (James Denton) He is flawed which is why we love him. He is the best match for Idiot Susan. Mike is in the background this season and we hope that doesn't last long. Mike needs a new writer.

7. Andrew Van De Camp (Shawn Pyfrom) what a great little actor he is! Andrew is being good now but we hope he changes back soon! He was so good at being bad. We love being bad.

8. Gabrielle Solis (Eva Longoria) Love Gabby but she needs her money, her man, and style back! Poor Gabby! Oh and a new gardener to play with!

9. Katherine Mayfair (Dana Delany) She is the ultimate desperate housewife. Dark and revenge oriented. We just love her and Bree going to war. You can't take your eyes off of Katherine. she steals every scene she is in. Mark Cherry wanted her to play Bree back in the day.

10. Lynette Scavo (Felicity Huffman)
Also really ethically challenged. Lynette is the voice of reason on Wisteria Lane. She cares about other people more than herself mostly. Loves her family to a fault. Her character is brave and like some other women we know unafraid to voice her opinion in any situation.

Honorary Dead Character:

George Williams (Roger Bart) the Pharmacist! Man he was GREAT! Fabulously psychotic and charming! What a perfect creepy, needy, desperate stalker George was. We miss him can't they bring him back as a twin or a ghost or something? Here's George:

DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES Season 5 Episode 2

DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES Season 5 Episode1

Sundays 9-10p ABC

The Ladies loved having the Wives back Sunday night. We wish they would let Carlos SEE!!! They have turned him into a sap. We love Carlos and want him to be his old hottie latino self NOW. Fat Gabbie oh no WAY. Really far fetched making her chubby kid run behind the car. Ahhh you just gotta love Mark Cherry.

LOVE LOVE LOVE the scene where Katherine sticks it to Bree in a sweet way. Best part of the whole show. Those two gals really play well together. Porter and Preston, the Scavo twins, are still nasty brats at 16. Loved it when Tom finally gets a clue about his charming boys. They found the two perfect bratty teenagers to play those obnoxious children grown up.

Writing was weak and they'll have to step it up and hopefully quickly.

Edie's husband is a freak! YAY we need more freaks! Hey Kyle McLaughlin can sing! Stay tuned snarkies for next week.....
